The party of no has if you can believe it, hit a new low...lower than low...lowest of the low! The blockage/filibuster of a bill that would afford health care for the 911 Responders...you know....the ones that risked lives and limbs to rescue victims of a vicious attack on America perpetrated by Islamic extremists.
The apparent leader of this travesty? Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.), THE Dr. NO of the republican party. How ANY American has the stones to deny help to these brave American Heroes defies logic, and is ethically and morally reprehensible.
To deny these heroes the help they require...and at the same time hold the neediest of the needy Americans (the unemployed), hostage by denying a desperately needed extension of unemployment benefits in a time when such a move would devastate and probably wipe out the majority of middle class America, and in the same breath... demand an unfunded MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR tax cut for the top 1% of this country is nothing short of insanity and tantamount to an act of terrorism. What ever happened to our stance of not negotiating with terrorists?
The party of no has become the party of shame...the sad part?...THEY HAVE NO SHAME.
The America I knew...and served my country for...is no longer.
Thanks to the right wing, obstructionist, rethuglican party of NO...the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off until further notice.
A pox on the members of congress and their families who voted against this bill!
